Amir Halkin, MD
Dr. Halkin is currently an attending physician at the Tel Aviv Medical Center 's Unit of Interventional Cardiology. From 2004-2006 he served as an attending physician with the Department of Interventional Cardiology at the Lenox Hill Hospital in NY. Dr. Halkin received his medical degree from Hadassah Medical School, Jerusalem, Israel and has authored over 40 scientific articles, reviews and book chapters on interventional cardiology.

David Holmes, MD
Dr. David Holmes is Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and a consultant in the Division of Cardiovascular Diseases and the Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Holmes has also been named the Edward W. and Betty Knight Scripps Professor in Cardiovascular Medicine in Honor of Dr. George M. Gura, Jr. His special areas of interest include Acute Coronary Syndromes, Interventional Cardiology, Restenosis, Vascular Biology, Risk Outcomes Analysis, and Telemedicine. In addition, he is involved in the development of new catheter design and new approaches for the treatment of a wide variety of patients with coronary artery disease and vein graft disease. Finally, he is involved in the development of continued application of percutaneous coronary intervention technology to non-coronary vascular beds. Dr. Holmes received his medical degree at Marquette University Medical School in Milwaukee.

Martin Leon, MD
Dr. Martin Leon is Chairman Emeritus of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation and Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC). Dr. Leon also is the Associate Director of the Center for Interventional Vascular Therapy (CIVT) at CUMC and a practicing interventional cardiologist at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/CUMC. Dr. Leon has served as principal investigator for numerous clinical trials that have helped shape the field of interventional vascular medicine, including the STARS, Gamma-1, and (most recently) SIRIUS trial, which helped establish drug-eluting stents as the current standard of care for many cases of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Leon has co-authored over 900 publications, has performed over 7,000 interventional procedures, and has had a major impact on the development of modern interventional vascular devices and therapies. He is the Director and Founder of Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics, the largest dedicated meeting in interventional vascular therapy in the world.

Dr. Leon was a founder of the Washington Cardiology Center and the Cardiology Research Foundation in Washington , DC. He received his medical degree from the Yale School of Medicine.

Steve Ramee, MD
Dr. Steve Ramee is the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Head of the Interventional Cardiology Section at the Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans . Dr. Ramee has published more than 100 manuscripts and presented more than 100 scientific abstracts in the field of interventional cardiology. He was the co-inventor of a coronary angioscope, a laser angioplasty catheter, and the Wiktor coronary stent. Dr. Ramee has also been involved with the integration of coronary and peripheral vascular interventional therapy, including the clinical utility of renal and carotid stents, limb salvage, mesenteric ischemia, pharmacologic and mechanical treatments for arterial and venous thrombosis, and percutaneous treatment of dialysis access sites. He is also actively engaged in percutaneous myocardial laser revascularization, intravascular brachytherapy to prevent restenosis, and gene therapy. Dr. Ramee maintains an active clinical referring practice performing more than 1,000 coronary and peripheral angioplasty procedures per year. He received his medical degree from George Washington University Medical School in Washington, DC.

Dierk Scheinert, MD
Dr. Dierk Scheinert is Head of the Department of Medicine I, Angiology and Cardiology at Park Hospital Leipzig , and Head of the Department of Angiology, University of Leipzig Heart Center. He received his medical degree from Humbold University Medical School in Berlin.
